Salonera uses as few cookies as possible — only what's needed to deliver the service, remember your choices, and (with your consent) understand how the product is used. The list below names every cookie we set, who sets it, what it does, how long it lasts, and which consent category it belongs to. You can change your consent at any time via "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page.

Strictly necessary

These cookies are required to deliver the service and cannot be turned off. They do not require consent under Ekomloven §2-7b.

better-auth.session_token (and __Secure-better-auth.session_token over HTTPS) — First-party cookie. Keeps you signed in. Lifetime: 30 days.

salonera-consent — First-party cookie. Stores your cookie banner choice so we don't ask again on each visit. Lifetime: 365 days.

Functional

These cookies remember your choices and tailor the experience. They are set without consent because they directly follow an action you took.

salonera-locale — First-party cookie. Remembers your language choice (no / en / de). Lifetime: 365 days.

Product analytics (consent required)

These cookies are only set if you chose "Accept" under "Cookie settings". They help us understand which features are used and where users hit problems. You can withdraw consent at any time.

ph_<id>_posthog (and related PostHog cookies) — Third-party cookie set by PostHog (EU instance, eu.i.posthog.com). Identifies the device and stores product analytics events. Lifetime: up to 365 days.

Third-party services

Cloudflare Turnstile — When you submit the sign-in or booking form, Cloudflare may set short-lived cookies on its own domain (challenges.cloudflare.com) as part of bot detection. These are not set on salonera.no and are strictly necessary for the form to function.

Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights — Cookieless by default; they use anonymous in-memory measurements rather than cookies, and only activate after consent.

Changing your consent

Click "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page to change or withdraw your consent. The change takes effect immediately — analytics cookies are removed or disabled on the next page load.
